In red and yellow class this half term we will be learning to ‘Keep Happy, Keep Healthy’. Through this topic we will be talking about healthy foods, exercise, sleep and hygiene. Together we will explore how we keep healthy. We have a pretend doctors and vets where we are practising booking appointments and caring for patients.

We are also forming a link with Morrisons. They are keen to support our community to be as healthy as possible. We have a pretend supermarket and café in class. We are arranging for the children to go to the store and to experience what it is like to work in a supermarket. All parents will be invited when dates are confirmed.

Our core story this half term is ‘This is the Bear and the Picnic Lunch’. Towards Easter time we will be arranging our own healthy picnic for our families.

Some mums and dads are bringing their babies in and we are learning to care for babies as well as our pet hamsters. We have also invited doctors, pharmacist, dentists, rugby players and footballers to come and talk to the children about healthy lifestyles. If you have any links with any of these professions please let us know as we would appreciate your help.
