Dear parents and carers,

Our Better Together day on 9th February was a bit different this year. Rather than invite you to come to St Edmund’s, we visited some of you at home. Thank you for making us feel so welcome. We really value your feedback and are always looking at ways we can improve what we do. We will continue to visit some of you this half term. We will also be having some coffee mornings and afternoons where we will be asking your opinion about some of the things we do. Finally, we will be sending out a questionnaire very soon. Please make sure you fill it in – one lucky winner will receive a £50 Next voucher.

After Easter, the Governors will look at all your feedback and discuss the findings. They will use the information to help us to continue to improve. Wherever we can, we will make any changes you suggest.

We are very proud of the staff who have completed their Foundation Degree and are now studying for their BA degree. Eight of them undertook their first study week before half term. I spent the week covering for some of them in Red Class, which I really enjoyed – although I was exhausted by the end of the week!

I met up with Lindsay during the half term holiday; she is really enjoying retirement and is looking relaxed and healthy. She sends her love to everybody.

Let’s hope spring is just around the corner - I am sure we are all looking forward to seeing some sunshine!

Anne-Marie
