We are very pleased to welcome our children and their families who have started with us in 2-3s over the past few weeks: Hashim, Shahveer, Yusuf, Aiza, Mohammad Umar and Yumna. We would also like to welcome Raees’ new baby bother and offer congratulations to the whole family!

Momena, our student in Green Room who has been with us since September, will be leaving us this term. Good luck for the future and thank you!

Last half term was really busy!

We all really enjoyed Healthy Living Week where we visited the Life Caravan and met Harold the Giraffe, saw the Fire Engines and attended Dance sessions.

All the children loved our core story ‘Oh Dear’ and our sharing stories sessions were well attended by families. Dressing up for World Book Day was lots of fun too!

We also had a great time dancing and playing instruments (made from recycled materials) when ‘Bang Your Trash’ came to St Edmund’s.

We will be continuing to make Rhymes and Songs a big focus in 2-3s. The children have been really enthusiastic and we know that singing songs and sharing nursery rhymes, one to one with an adult and in a group with friends, is really beneficial for children – especially for their communication and language skills. If you could all share songs and rhymes with your children at home as often as you can, that would be great. We are happy to provide copies of the ones we use at Nursery – please ask your key person.

The usual reminders:

  • Please check your child’s basket to make sure we have spare clothes, wipes and nappies.
  • If your child has borrowed any clothes from Nursery, please make sure that you bring them back as soon as possible.
  • And finally - please write your child’s name clearly in their coats. This helps to avoid mix ups and the wrong coats being taken home.

Thank you for your continued support.
