This half term red and yellow class will be moving to an exciting topic of ‘Growth and New Life’. This was introduced to the children on Monday when Zoolab brought some exciting animals to meet us. Thank you to all the parents who joined us for this experience.

Through this topic we will be watching frogspawn change to tadpoles then frogs, observing the cycle of caterpillars changing in their journey to become butterflies and experiencing eggs hatching with baby chicks! We will also be doing lots of planting and growing. The children will learn the important role they play in the world to care for plants and animals all around us.

Our core story for this topic is Jasper’s Beanstalk - a story about a cat called Jasper who plants a bean, looks after it but realises he needs to be very patie nt. Eventually it is worth all his hard work! All children will be taking home a grow bag to plant and grow their own bean at home. Please bring your beanstalk back in so that your child can share their progress with their friends.

We will also be talking about how we grow and change. Please send some baby photos of your child to office@stedmundsbradford.org.uk and we will use these to discuss how we have grown.
