The Men in the Early Years conference yesterday went really well - several dads from St Edmund's attended, along with our dads workers Qaiser and Hafeez, and over 150 people from across the country! Anne-Marie Merifield spoke about the importance of recruiting men to work in Early Years settings, Robin Naylor (our Chair of Governors) led a workshop on how male practitioners are preceived.
The conference had a good write up in the T and A: www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/news/15418783.Education_experts_discuss_how_to_get_more_men_involved_in_early_years_teaching/
Following the conference, the MITEY Bradford Network will be meeting to continue the discussion. If you are interested in getting involved, email firstname.lastname@example.org.
