Safeguarding at St Edmund’s
We take the safeguarding of children very seriously here at St Edmund’s Nursery School and Children’s Centre. If any parent, carer, or staff member feels uncertain about the safety of a child, it is vital that these concerns are reported immediately.
Who to Contact: Any child protection concerns should be reported to a Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) or Deputy. These are all members of our Senior Management Team. You can speak to them in person or contact them via the following numbers:
01274 543282
Our Named Persons for Child Protection include:
Sian Hudson: Executive Head
Juraj Tancos: Senior Family, Staff & Community Liaison (Lead: Safeguarding and Social Media)
Maryum Nazir: Senior Family, Staff & Community Liaison (Lead: Admissions and Childcare)
Ermina Kesedzic: Assistant Head / SENCO
Kimberley Middleton: Assistant Head
Mohammed Bilal: 2-3’s Lead Teacher
Amanda Nicolson: Business Manager
Reporting Process - A Pink Slip form should be completed whenever there is an accident, a wellbeing matter, or a safeguarding matter. Staff should clearly and accurately record all observations, discussions that have taken place, and any responses from the child and/or parent/carer. Where appropriate, the matter should also be discussed with the parent/carer, and their response documented on the form. Once completed, the Pink Slip should be passed immediately to a DSL (Designated Safeguarding Lead) so that any appropriate follow-up action can be taken where necessary.
Safeguarding is at the heart of everything we do it’s everyone’s responsibility.
