National Play Day 2026 | St Edmund’s Nursery School and Children’s Centre

National Play Day 2026 at St Edmund’s Nursery School and Children’s Centre was a wonderful celebration filled with joy, creativity, and simple playful discovery. To make the day extra special, we applied to close Washington Street right outside the nursery, transforming the road into a safe, vibrant space dedicated entirely to children's play. Guided by the 50 Things to Do Before You’re Five initiative, our children, families, and staff came together to explore the power of low-cost, hands-on play outdoors.
